Saturday 5th September the DC Heier Ducks are once again in league action against DC Seven in their new home in Bergneustadt.
The team for this game was made up of Biaggio (Captain), Marcel, Kai and me.
As usual our Captain was just a little late (LOL) so we started to play before he arrived, with Marcel leading the way, unfortunately he lost his game, then came me, Kai and Biaggio who all won their games and after 4 games the score was 1 – 3.
From the next 4 games we only won 1 of them and the scores before the double matches were level at 4 – 4.
The double matches would go a long way in deciding who won the match, it was Marcel and Biaggio together in the first doubles match and with Marcel making some good scores, and they were able to win their double game 2 – 0.
Then came Kai & me, this was the first time we had played together as a doubles pair, however with some good finishes I made 102 finish by doing a shanghai on the number 17, triple, single then double to win the game and Kai made double 1 to win the match at the end of the doubles it was 6 – 4 for the Heier Ducks.
Over the next 4 games it was only 1 more win for us and the score was level once again at 7 – 7, going into the last 4 games Marcel won, Kai lost a hard fought battle, scores were level at 8 – 8, I won my game to secure a point it was then Captain against Captain and Biaggio won with style and the game was won 10 – 8 for the DC Heier Ducks.
Another great team performance where everybody contributed to the cause and everyone has fun.
